Ladies Terms of Competition 2021

MAJORS:

In order to qualify for FIRST PRIZE in a major i.e. 

  • Lady Captians Prize
  • Lady President Prize
  • Captains Prize to the Ladies

The following is Required: 

  • THREE cards in qualifying competition (one may be from and outside course)
  • Must be a fully paid up ADULT MEMBER
  • Must be a member for at least ONE YEAR
  • Must have a HANDICAP INDEX of 38.0 or lower.

PRIZES:

In order for a competition to qualify for prizes, a minimum of 15 entrants must play, however one entrant constitutes a competition for handicap purposes. Order of Prizes: First, Second, Gross, Third, .. Dependant on whether categories exist or not

BUGGIES:

A golf buggy may be utilised only by a player in possession of a medical cert.

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES (DMD's):

The use of DMD’s is permitted, provided they conform to the regulations as set down by the R&A. Rule 4.3

DECISION OF TIES:

18 holes: Decision is made on the last 9, 6, 3, 1. If still a tie decide on last 3, 6, 7, 8 of the first 9 holes. If still a tie decided by lot.

STARTING TEES:

Always start on the 1st tee box

One may start on the 6th tee if ladies are having a draw on Wednesday

SCORECARDS MUST BE RETURNED

Temporary changes to competition Entry and Play due to COVID-19 Guidelines. Updated 25th July

  • Ensure your name is on the Timesheet
  • Enter your name in the book using your own pen
  • Sign into computer
  • Put entry fee in an envelope with your name and place it in the money slot
  • Exchange scorecards on the first tee, marker to mark and sign your card, and then the player signs their own card.
  • Course Handicap must be on scorecard
  • Return score electronically through computer in locker room
  • Put scorecard in Competitions slot
  • Return all scorecards

ON THE COURSE:

  • Flagstick may be removed
  • Only one player from each group should handle the flagstick on each hole.
  • Rakes have been returned to the bunkers.
  • Normal rules of golf now apply and placing in bunkers is NO LONGER PERMITTED.
  • Please ensure that hands are sanitized and it is advisable to carry a small bottle of hand sanitizer to be used after handling flags and rakes.
